In 1987, our firm developed a Tribal insurance program with the assistance of Native American Attorneys and Tribal Administrators exclusively for Sovereign Indian Nations. The Native American community wanted a program that recognized their Tribal Sovereignty as established by the constitution and interpreted coverage's according to Treaty Law, Executive Order Law, Congressional Law and Tribal Law.
We offer a complete line of insurance products tailored to fit your needs and specifically designed to protect your sovereignty. The Program for Sovereign Indian Nations is insured only with well-established and respected insurance companies. Our carriers have an AM Best rating of A+XV and have a AA Debt Rating. Those excellent standards are achieved only by a few, very select, companies in today’s marketplace.
We provide assistance in Risk Management for all Tribal operations to help reduce your losses and our in-house Claims division is well versed in understanding Tribal law, Tribal courts systems, FTCA protection and Tribal Sovereignty claim issues. This approach is invaluable for your prosperity.
In order to better serve the needs of Indian Country across the land, we have more than 50 Broker/Agents throughout the country to respond to your needs. They are knowledgeable and committed to placing the specialty coverage’s we provide.
We also recognize that in some situations Tribal Governments, Casinos, Schools or other Enterprises may want to work directly with CIS. Our program has the flexibility to accommodate those wishes if necessary.
Our program represents over 370 Tribal clients. We are very honored by this achievement.
